Elite Dance Centre.....
Founded in 2004, Elite Dance Centre is now celebrating its 8th season in Woodstock. What does it mean to be "elite"? Quite simply - we aim to be "the best" at all that dance has to offer for the youth of Oxford County. We have Awesome Teachers!We strive to provide a fun and educational atmosphere for all of our dancers - beginner or advanced, recreational or competitive. There is nothing else quite like an EDC dance education! Our qualified instructors are infectious in their enthusiasm and bring the passion, knowledge and experience that is built upon a life-long involvement in dance. Of equal importance is Elite dance students having fun while receiving first rate instruction!We have a Fantastic Studio!Our premium dance facility, conveniently located in downtown Woodstock, provides 7,500 square feet of practice space spread across three dance classrooms. Each dance room has sprung floors, full wall mirrors, professional barres and the ultimate in studio surround sound! We also offer free parking and a spacious lobby.We foster a Positive Atmosphere!At Elite, we encourage students to support each other. Mentoring and self-directed group practice is actively encouraged, and dancers form strong and lasting friendships. Throughout the dance year, social events provide opportunities for the Elite family to come together for some fun and relaxation. We are committed to effective communication with parents either through our knowledgeable office managers, this website, or through studio newsletters and email correspondence.We strive for Results!A dance education provides young people with many benefits beyond the obvious fitness and wellness gains. Dancers gain poise and self-confidence and build skills in organization, teamwork, commitment, loyalty and empathy - valuable skills that they will use throughout their life.We celebrate all dancers' accomplishments!Our year-end Dance Extravaganza gives each and every Elite dancer the opportunity to "dress to the nines" and "strut their stuff" on stage. The Dance Extravaganza provides dancers with so much more than a few moments in the limelight. As they bravely walk on stage and into the bright lights they are learning how to be self-confident and proud of their hard work and all that they have accomplished throughout the dance year!Award-winning competitive programThe Elite Dance competitive team offers an intensive dance education in all dance disciplines, supported by contemporary choreography and costuming. Our tight-knit family of dancers develops together over the years and have proven to be formidable competitors both locally and internationally. |
This just in... THEY'VE DONE IT AGAIN! Congratulations to the Elite Lite and Team Elite teams for their great scores at Dance Canada in London! Congratulations goes out to Alexander and Rachel for scoring 2nd Runner Up Junior and Senior Pre-Competitive Soloists, "Born to Fly" won 1st runner-up Highest Scoring Junior Pre-Competitive Duet/Trio and "Party Rock" won 1st runner-up Highest Scoring Junior Pre-Competitive Group! Congrats also to Katherine for winning 3rd and Highest Scoring Novice Soloist of Competition! "Ding, Dong!" won Highest Scoring Mini Duet/Trio, "We Got the Beat" and "I Just Wanna Be Happy" won 1st runner-up and Highest Scoring Mini Groups with "Superstar" winning Highest Scoring Mini Line! Lauren M., Madi and Lauren Bn. swept the Junior Overall Solo awards winning 3rd, 2nd and Highest Scoring Junior Solos. "Cooler, Couleur" won 2nd Highest Scoring Junior D/T, "Libertango" and "Tightrope" won 2nd and 1st runner-up Highest Scoring Junior Group. Makayla won 2nd runner-up Highest Scoring Pre-Intermediate Solo, "Let's Call the Whole Thing Off" won 1st runner-up Pre-Intermediate D/T and "Feel Good Time" won 1st runner-up Highest Scoring Pre-Intermediate group. "Commander" came away with Highest Scoring Junior Line/Ext. Line. Additional congratulations to "Heart of the Homeless" who won Highest Scoring Senior Group and "Versus" who won 2nd runner-up Highest Scoring Senior D/T. More congratulations to our Miss Dance Canada qualifiers: Riley, Emma H., Lauren M., Madi, Lauren Bn., Lauren Br., Emma S., Makayla, Madeleine, Madisen and Jillian U. Lastly, congratulations to Ms. Tonya for winning Best Choreography for "Commander" and also to "Commander" for winning the JUNIOR CANADA CUP!!! Well done boys and girls! One more to go!
